South African wines in Ireland

These South African beauties have officially arrived in Ireland. Introducing Piekenierskloof Wines and B Vintners.

Piekenierskloof Wines

Fourth-generation winemakers producing unique wines from meticulously farmed and lovingly managed vines, some more than 60 years old and grown on a mountain ridge of the Piekeniersklood. Fondly dubbed the ‘Grenache HQ’ amongst wine lovers, the Piekenierskloof boasts one of the largest Grenache plantings in the Cape, alongside old, unirrigated bush vine vineyards that continuously deliver exceptional wines.

B Vintners, Stellenbosch, South Africa

Bruwer Vintners Vine Exploration Company opened their doors in 2014, with a guiding mission to craft exceptional wines, allowing the vineyard to tell the tale of the Cape. Their expertly crafted wines are award-winning and an honest expression of the fruit of the vine—the very definition of a terroir-driven range. The grapes used for this wine are from their younger Pinotage vineyards, which at this stage are perfect for producing sparkling wine in the Methode Ancestrale or Pet Nat style.
